Clintonville Leather 1 1/2" Western Belt, Men's Leather Belt, Gun Belt, Belt, Heavy Duty Belt,Full Grain Belt, Harness Leather Belt
Artisan belt with hand forged copper hardware and detailed Western embroidery with a unique sunburst finish.
The belt is constructed from Hermann Oak Old World Harness leather in 15-16oz. weight. Most makers shy away from this weight because modern hand tools will not cut it without snapping blades. Luckily I dabble in tool making. It is made using a 100 year old recipe which has proven itself to stand the test of time. A truly remarkable material that I am proud to work with.
To my knowledge there is only one other maker using this leather in this weight for belts. It is truly in a class of it's own and nothing like what is commonly found in handmade belts.
The rivets are not inexpensive double sided rivets which are prone to failure after several years but authentic rivets which require skill to hand hammer into place. Beware of double sided rivets or Chicago Screws. This belt is made for your grand kids grand kids to use.
What people are saying:
"Magnificent workmanship & a superb piece of leather. I doubt you'll find a belt of this quality anywhere else."
"Bill has made me a belt of truly superb quality and style. The leather looks and feels great. It's very thick indeed, but comfortable to wear. The buckle too, is really solid, and looks elegant. I can't see how a belt can be made any better. Thanks Bill."
This is a proper tool to enhance your life not something designed to fall apart and waste your valuable resources.
Belt is tailor fitted. Please measure from where the leather folds over the buckle to the most commonly used hole. I will add a nominal measurement to accommodate for the thickness of the leather. Just lay the belt flat on the ground and measure. Spacing is 3/4" for comfort with 7 holes.
Leather thickness is 7+mm and is Artisan quality harness leather which has traditionally been used for applications where durability is absolutely essential to life and limb. Nothing sold in "box" stores has ever been made from harness leather. Chances are you have never seen or felt leather of this quality unless you own a vintage horse saddle or vintage linesmen belt.
Would be an outstanding 3rd Anniversary gift.
