Please provide sizing information by measuring a current good fitting belt from the buckle fold over to most used hole
After making my first belt 15 years ago it didn't take long before I wasn't happy with it.
This part should be thicker, these holes should be closer together, the edges need sanded more before burnishing etc... Make a belt, wear it for an extended period of time with heavy outdoor use then reevaluate. Eventually I realized the buckles I wanted weren't being made so I bought a forge and 70 lb farrier's anvil and got to work learning forging skills. Several years of forging buckles later I realized I needed to learn metal casting to get the buckle I wanted. Hundreds of buckles later I had become proficient at creating a buckle I felt had a flattering silhouette and performed exactly how I needed it to. Simple and easy to use and eliminated much of the wear and tear traditional buckles put on leather straps. This belt represents a pursuit of perfection for my own personal use.
The buckle is heavier than most all commercial buckles and has been built to be passed down for generations.
