The man in the photo is Kihue, aka Bill Moose the last Wyandote in Central Ohio and Clintonville celebrity/resident. Kihue lived to be just shy of 100 and was so well loved 50,000 people attended his funeral in 1937. I strongly believe that the Native Americans were amongst the most successful societies to inhabit the Earth. There once were many peace loving tribes here who lived in complete balance with our natural world. They knew selflessness and did everything with respect toward all beings who would follow them for the next 7 generations. I feel that we would all benefit from studying them in these trying times as we look for solutions to restore our natural world.

I have been working on this buckle design for over two years and am very happy with this version. Every detail of the buckle is completed in my studio. This pewter will patina over time as will all of my handmade copper buckles.

Belt is tailor fitted. Please measure current belt from where the leather folds over the buckle to the most commonly used hole. I will add a nominal measurement to accommodate for the thickness of the leather. Just lay the belt flat on the ground and measure. Spacing is 3/4" for comfort with 7 holes.



Leather is Artisan quality harness leather which has traditionally been used for applications where durability is absolutely essential to life and limb. Chances are you have never seen or felt leather of this quality unless you own a vintage horse saddle or vintage linesmen belt.
